BJP To Highlight Central Schemes Under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh BJP will organise a month-long publicity campaign to highlight Central government schemes and development works under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan till October 17, state BJP president P.V.N. Madhav said on Friday.
Addressing the media, Madhav said the party would organise a series of programmes to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service. Teachers, Anganwadi workers and sanitary workers would be felicitated for their social service, while an Innovation Challenge would be held to encourage youth.
The party would also conduct statewide drawing and elocution competitions and around 13 types of programmes as part of the campaign, he said.
Madhav said Ashirvada Deepam programmes had been held at Vijaya Stambh near Kodandaramalayam in Tirupati, Polavaram project, the ghats of the Krishna and Godavari rivers, prominent temples and other important places across the state.
The BJP has set a target of collecting 10,000 units of blood during the campaign. A blood donation camp was held in Vijayawada as part of the drive.
