BJP Demands Apology from Revanth Reddy for Remark
Vishnuvardhan dismissed the rumours of division within the coalition government and stated that the government has taken measures to support chilli farmers in the state.

Kurnool: BJP leader S. Vishnuvardhan Reddy demanded an apology from Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for labelling people and farmers of Andhra Pradesh as looters in the context of the usage of Krishna waters.
Speaking to the media in Kurnool, Vishnuvardhan questioned whether a Chief Minister should make such remarks and reminded Revanth Reddy that the construction of the Srisailam dam was possible due to the sacrifices of many.
He accused the Telangana CM of misleading people, saying Andhra Pradesh is self-reliant, while Telangana is surviving on central funds. He alleged that Revanth Reddy deliberately creates water disputes between AP and Telangana and plays a political drama.
He claimed that there are reports about the possibility of Revanth Reddy being removed as CM which is why he is making such statements in the media. He asserted that Congress is losing its influence and will soon lose power in the remaining states where it still governs.
Vishnuvardhan did not spare the YSRCP leaders, saying they are making false allegations against ministers Satyakumar Yadav and Nara Lokesh and accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of being unable to accept his party’s rejection by people.
He pointed out that from 2014 to 2019, Jagan Reddy, despite having 67 MLAs, avoided Assembly sessions and instead went on a padayatra. He argued that Jagan Reddy prefers attending the Assembly only when he is in power.
The BJP leader urged the YSRCP to act as responsible opposition and questioned whether they have supported the government on any issue in last eight months apart from criticising it. He accused Jagan Mohan Reddy of being power-hungry and his decision to attend the council instead of the Assembly showed his double standards.
Vishnuvardhan dismissed the rumours of division within the coalition government and stated that the government has taken measures to support chilli farmers in the state.
