Bhogapuram Airport Alerts Job Seekers About Fake Recruitment Rackets

The cautionary follows reports of fake entities offering jobs with the new airport.

Visakhapatnam:Management of Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport has cautioned job seekers against fraudulent recruitment offers being made in the name of the airport, its operator GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL), and the GMR Group.

The cautionary follows reports of fake entities offering jobs with the new airport.

ASR International Airport authorities warned the public not to respond to such messages, make any payments, or share personal and financial information without verifying their authenticity through official GMR channels.

In a statement, the airport clarified that neither GVIAL nor GMR Group charge candidates any fee at any stage of the recruitment process. No employment opportunity is offered in exchange for money. Authorities warned candidates against dealing with individuals, agencies, or intermediaries claiming to facilitate jobs at the airport.

The statement further clarified that the airport does not conduct walk-in interviews. All legitimate job vacancies are advertised only through the official GMR careers portals. Applications must be submitted exclusively through those platforms. Recruitment-related communications are issued only from official GMR email addresses.

ASR International Airport advised candidates to treat interview calls, appointment letters, and job offers received through unauthorised email accounts, WhatsApp messages, social media platforms, or personal phone numbers as potentially fraudulent.

Authorities warned that fraudsters could use GMR name, logo, brand, or other documents while making the fake employment offers, so that they appear genuine. However, the presence of such branding does not guarantee a recruitment offer's authenticity, the statement underlined.

Job seekers have been asked not to transfer money or disclose bank account details, OTPs, passwords, or other sensitive information to anyone claiming to provide employment at the Bhogapuram Airport.

Authorities appealed to the public to remain vigilant and verify all recruitment-related communications through official GMR channels before responding.
