BC Dharma Deeksha Enters Day-2; Ramachandra’s Health Worsens
Doctors expressing concern over his deteriorating health

VIJAYAWADA: The indefinite fast by Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana Party chief Bode Ramachandra Yadav entered its second day on Sunday, with doctors expressing concern over his deteriorating health.
Yadav, who launched the “BC Dharma Deeksha” seeking justice for Backward Classes, has refused to call off the protest until the government fulfils its assurances. Medical experts warned that prolonged fasting could lead to a dangerous drop in electrolytes, calcium, magnesium and glucose levels, along with declining oxygen saturation.
Undeterred, Yadav said the agitation would continue until his demands are met. Support for the fast is growing, with leaders from BC, Kapu, Telaga and Balija communities visiting the protest site. Former Rajya Sabha member V. Vijayasai Reddy extended support via social media.
He also questioned land allocation policies in Amaravati, demanding 1,000 acres be allotted to BCs on par with private firms, and sought clarity over reports of farmhouse allocations.
Kapu, Telaga and Balija JAC chairman Dasari Ramu declared full support, as Yadav reiterated that the fast would continue until all demands are met.
