Visakhapatnam:The sacred Sri Bala Tripura Sundari Devi Temple in Srikakulam district was transformed into a dazzling spectacle on Shravan Sukravaram (Friday), with the Goddess adorned in an extraordinary offering of around 5.2 lakh bangles.

Thousands of devotees thronged the temple, located on the banks of the Nagavali River, to witness the vibrant display.

The tradition, observed during the holy month of Shravan, symbolises divine grace and the nurturing power of femininity. Married women, in particular, offer bangles seeking blessings for health, prosperity, marital harmony, and fertility.

The sanctum was intricately decorated, drawing women devotees who also performed Varalakshmi Vratham, seeking wealth and well-being for their families. Across North Andhra, temples were lively, markets bustled with flowers and puja materials, and gold shops saw brisk sales ahead of the Vratham.

These celebrations reflect both the deep devotion and enduring cultural traditions of the region.
