Audio of deceased SI turns viral on social media
The audio discloses that the deceased SI faced trouble from some of the higher officials in the department and was unfairly implicated in a case.

Kakinada:An Audio of the Tanuku Rural Sub-Inspector AGS Murthy, who committed suicide two days back in the police station in West Godavari district, talking with another cop, became viral on social media on Monday.
The audio discloses that the deceased SI faced trouble from some of the higher officials in the department and was unfairly implicated in a case. He seemed to be in a state of distress and some cops made hectic efforts to cool him down.
On the phone, the colleague officer was heard suggesting that he meet the higher officials and find a way out of his troubles. He repeatedly appealed to Murthy not to take any extreme step. He also advised Murthy to go for loop posting in the department.
However, he did not heed the advice and committed suicide.
Meanwhile, the department has taken a serious note of the audio circulation and started an investigation.
West Godavari SP, Adnan Nayeem Asmi told Deccan Chronicle that the department has checked the audio and made efforts to identify the cop on the other end. When a normal person, or a police officer, knows about his friend or colleague’s distress condition, he should immediately take steps to save him or inform other officials to take the right steps. But such steps were not taken in this case, he noted.
He said a bullet was recovered from the spot. He promised that the family members of the deceased SI would be given all help from the department.
