Atchannaidu Urges TD Cadre To Work For Alliance Candidates In Local Body Polls
Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu urged Telugu Desam leaders and cadres to coordinate with alliance partners, promote government schemes and support officially nominated candidates in local body polls.
Agriculture minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu has called on Telugu Desam (TD) leaders and cadres to coordinate their efforts to secure the victory of alliance candidates in the upcoming local body elections.
Addressing party leaders and workers at NTR Bhavan in Kotabommali, Srikakulam district, on Monday, he said workers should support the candidate officially nominated by the party, irrespective of their personal preferences.
Atchannaidu asked party leaders to take the elections seriously and strengthen the organisation at the village level. He urged them to publicise the development and welfare programmes implemented by the coalition government over the past 28 months.
He stressed the need to reach every household and explain government schemes, village development works and the benefits being extended to the public. Leaders should maintain regular contact with residents, understand their grievances and work towards resolving them, he said.
The minister said coordination among alliance partners would be important in the local body elections. He called on leaders of the constituent parties to cooperate, setting aside personal differences.
He also asked party leaders to assess the political situation at the village level regularly and plan strategies to strengthen public support.
Atchannaidu urged leaders and workers to discharge their responsibilities and work collectively for alliance candidates.
