Atchannaidu Launches ₹ 3 Crore Rural Works in Tekkali

The minister appreciated the services of sanitation workers and said the government was committed to addressing their issues

Visakhapatnam: Agriculture minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu on Tuesday said the coalition government was prioritising rural development and strengthening gram panchayats across Andhra Pradesh.

The minister toured the Tekkali constituency and inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development works worth `3 crore. He inaugurated a cement concrete road from Tirangi Panchayat TT Road to Gangadharapeta village, built at a cost of `1.17 crore under the employment guarantee scheme. Another CC road from Anjanapuram Junction in Seetharamapuram Panchayat to Venkatapuram, constructed at a cost of `1.83 crore under the same scheme, was also inaugurated.

Atchannaidu also laid foundation stones for additional development works and distributed new clothes to sanitation workers on the occasion of Sankranti.

Addressing the gathering, the minister said welfare, development and good governance were the core objectives of the coalition government. He said priority was being given to providing basic infrastructure in rural areas and assured that development works would be undertaken in line with the needs of the people.

The minister appreciated the services of sanitation workers and said the government was committed to addressing their issues. He recalled their contribution during the Covid-19 pandemic, when they continued to serve despite difficult conditions.

Later, he laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Sulabh complex in Tekkali to provide better public amenities
