Atchannaidu Launches ₹3 Crore Development Works in Tekkali

The minister reiterated that pensions for eligible widows will be paid from August 1.

Visakhapatnam: Agriculture minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu inaugurated development programmes worth ₹3 crore in the Santhabommali mandal of Tekkali constituency in Srikakulam district on Sunday.

The minister emphasised that the NDA coalition government is dedicated to strengthening villages and tribal hamlets. He criticised the previous YSRCP government for stopping widow pensions for over 1.2 lakh beneficiaries.
“We have rectified the situation now,” Atchannaidu pointed out.
During his visit to Vaddivada of Jonnalapadu village in Santhabommali mandal, the minister participated in the “First Step in Good Governance” programme. He went door to door, distributing pamphlets outlining the development and welfare initiatives taken by the NDA government over the past year.
The minister reiterated that pensions for eligible widows will be paid from August 1.
On the day, he released water from Garibula Gedda at Vaddivada to meet the irrigation needs of farmers in the region.
