ASI To Digitise All Estampages To Keep Them Online Under BharatSHRI Project

Vijayawada: The Archaeological Survey of India has taken up the process of digitisation of all the estampages preserved in order to make them available online under the ‘BharatSHRI project’.
According to ASI director (epigraphy) K. Munirathnam Reddy, as the central government has come up with a project called Bharat Shared Repository of Inscriptions, all the estampages preserved in the office of the Directorate of Epigraphy will be converted into digitised estampages and will be made available online for the BharatSHRI project.
Moreover, all the estampages, transcripts and metadata will also be uploaded for easy access to the scholars and the general public.
