Army Recruitment Rally Underway In Visakhapatnam
Over 10,000 candidates are taking part in the Army recruitment rally for Agniveer and technical services in Visakhapatnam, which runs till September 20.
The Army recruitment rally for Agniveer and technical services began in Visakhapatnam from midnight on Wednesday, with the selection process scheduled to continue till September 20.
Around 10,355 candidates who cleared the online written examination are taking part in the rally.
Visakhapatnam district collector M. Abhishikth Kishore directed officials from various departments, including the police, fire services, GVMC and revenue departments, to make necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the rally.
He asked officials to ensure transport, power supply, closed-circuit television cameras, public address systems and information technology facilities for the candidates.
On the first day, candidates took part in a 1.6-km night run on RK Beach Road from Kali Mata temple to the Victory at Sea war memorial. An average of 800 candidates will take part in the night run every day.
Candidates who clear the night run will take part in the remaining physical events at the municipal stadium.
Traffic restrictions have been imposed on RK Beach from 11 pm to 7 am till September 20.
