APSSDC Inks Pact With Oracle To Up-Skill Youths

Vijayawada:The State Skill Development Corporation and Oracle have signed a Memorandum of Understanding here on Monday to up-skill the youths.

The MoU, valid for three years, aims at providing free access for AP youths to Oracle’s world-class learning resources. The MoU was signed in the presence of education minister Nara Lokesh.

The two entities would up skill 4,00,000 learners over three years in cutting-edge technologies such as Oracle Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Security etc.

The learners will have 24/7 access to the Oracle University’s MyLearn Digital Learning platform. In addition to it, curated learning paths and certifications including Oracle Cloud Essentials, OCI Foundations, AI Foundations and Cloud Security Professional will be offered free of charge.

A special focus will be on promoting inclusivity and encouraging participation of women and marginalised communities.

The minister said, “This collaboration with Oracle is a step forward in empowering our youth with the future-ready skills necessary to thrive in the digital economy. Our aim is to build a robust talent pool that will attract global industries to AP.”

The MoU was signed by Oracle representatives Mark K. Taylor and Tapas Roy, and APSSDC was represented by its managing director Ganesh Kumar.
