APSRTC Suspends 10 Of Its Officials For Irregularities
The issue came to light after a constable working in the security wing lodged a complaint with the APSRTC managing director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.
Anantapur:Authorities of the AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) suspended on Saturday 10 officials of its Kadapa zone belonging to the Vigilance and Security wing for large-scale irregularities.
A detailed probe had determined that zonal officer Mujaffar Rehman and nine constables of eight districts within the Kadapa RTC zone had collected more than ₹50 lakh by threatening the corporation staff of booking cases against them.
The issue came to light after a constable working in the security wing lodged a complaint with the APSRTC managing director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.
The MD ordered two separate probes. After receipt of the reports, Tirumala Rao suspended zonal officer Rehman and nine constables for their involvement in the irregularities.
