APSPDCL Enables Single-Click Payment for Multiple Power Bills
The facility will be useful for consumers with multiple connections, including the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, mobile towers, dairy industries and other establishments
TIRUPATI: The Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) has introduced a facility allowing consumers with multiple electricity services to pay bills for all selected connections through a single payment.
APSPDCL chairman and managing director Siva Sankar Lotheti said on Thursday that the facility had been developed through the company website to simplify bill payments for consumers managing several electricity services. Under the system, consumers can register multiple services under a single login, select the connections and pay their bills together.
Lotheti said APSPDCL was the first among the state power distribution companies to introduce the facility and that it was aimed at improving digital services for consumers.
“Earlier, consumers having multiple electricity services in the same name had to select each service separately and make individual payments. This made the process time-consuming, particularly for consumers and organisations managing a large number of electricity connections”, he said.
The facility will be useful for consumers with multiple connections, including the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, mobile towers, dairy industries and other establishments.
Lotheti said the APSPDCL was taking up several initiatives to improve digital services and provide faster and more convenient services to consumers. He appealed to consumers to use the facility and pay their electricity bills on time.
