APSDMA Forecasts Cloudy Skies, Moderate Rainfall Across AP

Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has forecast cloudy skies and moderate rainfall across the state on Sunday under the influence of the southwest monsoon.
APSDMA managing director Prakhar Jain said light rain accompanied by lightning is likely at isolated places in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada and Konaseema districts.
He said light-to-moderate rainfall with lightning is expected in parts of the remaining districts of the state.
According to rainfall data recorded till 6 pm on Saturday, Kovilampadu in Markapuram district received 41 mm of rain, followed by Terannapalli in Anantapur district with 24 mm and Simhadripuram in YSR Kadapa district with 22.5 mm.
The authority advised people to remain cautious, particularly in areas vulnerable to lightning and sudden showers, as the southwest monsoon continues to advance across Andhra Pradesh.
