KAKINADA, JUNE 28
Municipal administration and urban development minister Ponguru Narayana on Sunday said Andhra Pradesh was facing financial constraints but the government would continue implementing welfare and development programmes.
Addressing a Telugu Desam district meeting at Jaggampeta, Narayana said the government was committed to extending welfare schemes to all eligible beneficiaries. He said the state was securing nearly 50 per cent funding for various schemes with the support of the Central government.
The minister said the government planned to provide houses to all eligible homeless families over the next two years.
He urged party leaders to take the government's welfare initiatives to the people and ensure that eligible beneficiaries received the benefits.
