AP YouTuber Prashna Ravan Taken into Custody Again After Bail
According to police sources, Ravan was not cooperating with the investigation. He is expected to be produced before a local court on Thursday evening.
Kakinada: YouTuber Bachalakuri Joseph, popularly known as Prashna Ravan, was taken into custody once again by the Sarpavaram Police in Kakinada district on Thursday, just hours after being released on bail on Wednesday night.
According to police sources, Ravan was not cooperating with the investigation. He is expected to be produced before a local court on Thursday evening.
On June 28, while speaking at a public meeting of Dalit Christians in Eluru, Ravan allegedly made derogatory remarks against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
Following the speech, Jana Sena leader Bojja Kumar lodged a complaint on June 29, based on which the police registered a case. Ravan was subsequently arrested in Hyderabad and brought to the Pithapuram Police Station, where multiple cases were registered against him under various sections of the law.
After undergoing a medical examination, he was produced before a civil judge on Wednesday night and was granted bail. However, he was taken into custody again in connection with another case registered by the Sarpavaram Police.
