AP Woos Taiwanese Investors, Focuses On Manufacturing, Skilled Workforce

The visiting team comprised representatives from globally recognised companies and institutions including Delta Electronics, BenQ, CTBC Bank, DIMERCO, Masterhill, Nan Pao Resins, Ever-Clear Environmental Engineering, Sheng Huei Tech, Tech-Top Engineering, KS Terminals, Sandsun, Zilei Construction & Engineering and Cappella Sports. They explored opportunities to expand their footprint in Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu showcased Andhra Pradesh's investor-friendly industrial policies, world-class infrastructure, robust logistics network and rapidly growing manufacturing ecosystem. He underlined the government's strategic focus on electronics, semiconductors, information technology, advanced manufacturing and export-oriented industries.

The CM assured the delegation that the government would continue to provide policy stability, speedy approvals and proactive administrative support to investors, creating an enabling environment for global industries to establish and expand operations in Andhra Pradesh.

The Taiwanese representatives shared their experiences of investing in India and expressed interest in exploring new opportunities in AP. Both sides agreed to deepen institutional engagement and enhance collaboration in manufacturing, technology and industrial development.

Later, IT and electronics minister Nara Lokesh held a separate interaction with the visiting delegation, focusing on workforce development, skill enhancement and educational cooperation. Discussions centred around preparing Andhra Pradesh's youth for employment opportunities in Taiwan's expanding manufacturing and technology sectors through industry-aligned skill development and technical education.

The meeting explored potential partnerships in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, precision engineering, industrial automation, healthcare and other high-skill sectors.

The discussions also covered Mandarin language training, industry-specific certification programmes, internships, student and faculty exchange initiatives, collaborative research and workplace-readiness programmes aimed at creating a globally competitive talent pool.

The interactions marked another milestone in Andhra Pradesh's growing engagement with Taiwanese industry. Both the state government and the Taiwanese delegation expressed confidence that stronger cooperation in investment, manufacturing, skilling and talent development would generate fresh industrial growth, technology partnerships and employment opportunities for the state's youth in the coming years.
