AP Under Unprecedented Turmoil: Jagan
Former chief minister and YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy

VIJAYAWADA: Former chief minister and YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticised the coalition government, stating that unprecedented and alarming developments are taking place in the state, which must be challenged. He urged the need to stand up as the voice of the people to counter the deterioration of various systems under constant threat.
Addressing a meeting of the Political Advisory Committee (PAC) in Vijayawada on Tuesday, Jagan said the coalition government has been arresting people and filing false cases to instil fear and suppress opposition voices. “The government is trying to hide issues of public interest, corruption, and misgovernance through diversion tactics, such as arresting high-profile individuals or spreading false narratives about the party leadership,” he said.
Jagan further criticised the government for its vindictive nature, citing the arrest of the former Intelligence chief and the questioning of MP Mithun Reddy, among other past officials. He accused the state of fabricating cases against YSRC leaders, comparing it to the liquor irregularities case involving N. Chandrababu Naidu. “If this continues, the deterioration of systems will deepen, leading to anarchy. We must expose the government's malintentions, especially in areas like land allotment to select companies without checks and inflated contracts awarded without procedure,” he added.
Jagan highlighted that the state’s revenues are shrinking, while wealth is being concentrated in the hands of a few. He criticised the halt in welfare schemes and the failure of the coalition’s promises, while loans continue to mount, indicating financial mismanagement. “We must stay connected with the grassroots and, in the next three years, take up the people’s issues without compromise,” Jagan concluded.
