Andhra Pradesh emerged the leader among other states in encouraging women entrepreneurs. The state also secured the top position in the distribution of personal loans.
The officials said that by sanctioning loans to the tune of Rs 1,495.50 crore to 1.47 lakh people across the state for self-employment and small traders, the state helped women, young entrepreneurs, and small traders to expand their businesses and realise their dreams.
The state also stood on the top in the implementation of Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme. Through this scheme, the government provides financial aid and technical training, assistance in marketing to the micro enterprises involved in food processing.
