AP To Issue Recruitment Notification For 3,168 Posts On Sept. 15
Andhra Pradesh will issue the second-phase Job Calendar-2026 recruitment notification on Sept. 15 to fill 3,168 government vacancies.
The Andhra Pradesh government will issue the second-phase recruitment notification under the Job Calendar-2026 on September 15 to fill 3,168 government posts, with Minister Nara Lokesh directing officials to ensure a legally sound and error-free notification to avoid disputes.
Chairing a review meeting of the ministerial committee on employment generation, Lokesh stressed that the exercise should be conducted transparently and in accordance with all statutory requirements. Several ministers participated in the meeting virtually, while officials gave a presentation on vacancies across government departments.
Officials informed the committee that the government plans to fill 10,060 vacancies announced under Job Calendar-2026 in four phases. As part of the first phase, a notification was issued on May 15 this year to recruit 1,523 faculty members across various universities.
The second-phase notification, originally scheduled for August 15, was postponed owing to technical issues related to the implementation of Presidential Orders and representations received from employees' associations. The notification will now be released on Sept 15.
Lokesh asked officials to complete preparations for issuing a combined notification on October 15 for the third and fourth phases of recruitment. The third phase will cover 2,388 posts, while the fourth phase will include 2,981 posts.
He said the chief minister wanted the vacancies to be filled according to the functional requirements of individual departments, and asked officials to proceed accordingly. Of the 2,388 posts in the third phase, 2,225 vacancies will be filled in the home department.
The ministerial committee also felt that the number of Group-I posts should be enhanced beyond the vacancies already identified. Lokesh asked officials to ensure that all 10,060 vacancies under the Job Calendar are filled on schedule, without giving room for legal or administrative disputes, and emphasised that the government should release a Job Calendar every year.
The complete details of vacancies under Job Calendar-2026 will be placed before the state cabinet at its meeting on August 6.
Home minister Vangalapudi Anita, municipal administration minister P Narayana, MSME minister Kondapalli Srinivas, tourism minister Kandula Durgesh, chief secretary Sai Prasad and senior officials of the APPSC etc attended the review.
