Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government will soon extend medical treatment under NTR Vaidya Seva, the Employee Health Scheme (EHS), and medical reimbursement to AP government employees, pensioners, and employees of Schedule IX and X institutions, along with their dependents, in select Telangana hospitals.
Health special chief secretary M.T. Krishna Babu issued two memos on Wednesday, granting permission to the CEO of Dr NTR Vaidya Seva Trust and the director of medical education to recognise hospitals approved by Telangana’s director of medical education.
The AP government clarified that this move aims to assess the availability of hospitals for EHS services, as currently, only 11 hospitals provide treatment for AP employees and pensioners.
