AP Signs MoU to Strengthen FPOs, Boost Agri Marketing
Bharath said the partnership would help farmers secure better prices through improved market linkages and modern supply chain practices

KURNOOL: The Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ace Agri Business Pvt. Ltd. to strengthen Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and enhance their marketing capabilities across the State.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Industries, Commerce and Food Processing Minister T.G. Bharath.
Under the initiative, FPOs will be organised and supported to access wider national and international markets. The MoU also aims to promote the establishment of food processing units, encourage value addition to agricultural produce and provide structured training programmes to farmers to improve productivity and income.
Bharath said the partnership would help farmers secure better prices through improved market linkages and modern supply chain practices.
The company will primarily focus on high-value crops such as cocoa, coffee, coconut, dry chilli, turmeric and pepper, while facilitating specialised marketing networks through FPOs.
Officials said the collaboration is expected to boost agri-business opportunities and empower farmer groups across Andhra Pradesh.
Principal Secretary (Food Processing) Chiranjeev Choudhary, Industries and Commerce Secretary Dr Yuvraj, AP Food Processing Society CEO Dr Shekhar Babu Geddam, APIIC managing director Dinesh Kumar and Ace Agri Business CEO Triveni Sati attended the event.
