AP Signs MoU To Bridge Skills’ Gap Among Equipment Operators

VIJAYAWADA: In a landmark initiative to enhance workforce readiness and drive economic growth, AP government, through the National Academy of Construction (NAC), has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Schwing Stetter (India), one of the world’s leading construction and concreting equipment manufacturers.

Those present at the signing ceremony included officials of state government, Schwing Stetter and NAC-AP director general Gummala Ganesh Kumar.

Ganesh Kumar said the collaboration underscores their shared commitment to bridge the skills gap, build global-standard competencies, and unlock high-value career opportunities for the youth in Andhra Pradesh. They would integrate cutting-edge training methodologies with industry-relevant expertise, thereby developing a robust pipeline of certified machine operators and technical professionals.

Officials stated that Schwing Stetter will deploy certified trainers to deliver training programmes aligned with NSDC-approved job roles. NAC will provide the required infrastructure to empower Andhra Pradesh’s youth with world-class technical and operational skills, preparing them for both domestic and international employment markets.
