AP Showcases Tourism Potential At Spain Summit

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh promoted the state’s tourism investment opportunities in Spain and unveiled an AI-based model for multilingual tourist information.

Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh has concluded his three-day visit to Spain, where he showcased the state’s tourism potential, unveiled an artificial intelligence-based innovation and held discussions with international investors to attract investments into the sector.

Durgesh represented the AP government at the Tourism Innovation Summit 2026 in Seville, where his address and presentation highlighted the state’s tourism opportunities and its efforts to adopt modern technologies and sustainable tourism practices.

The minister held detailed discussions with tourism experts on global tourism trends, smart destinations and sustainable tourism policies. He unveiled NiVU AI (Neural Intelligence Vernacular Unified Model), an innovative artificial intelligence-based model designed to make tourism information accessible to visitors in their preferred languages.

In collaboration with Explurger, the technology is being introduced at more than 100 prominent spiritual and tourist destinations across Andhra Pradesh, enabling visitors to access information in their own languages, an official press release here on Sunday quoted him as saying.

It said the minister met several international investors and tourism companies from Spain, explaining the investment opportunities in the state. He highlighted the potential for establishing wellness centres along Andhra Pradesh’s extensive coastline, developing temple tourism and ecotourism, and setting up resorts.

After returning to Vijayawada, Durgesh said the experience gained during the Spain visit, coupled with modern technology and international investment partnerships, would help accelerate efforts to develop Andhra Pradesh into a leading global tourism destination.
