Kurnool: A sarpanch who was severely injured in a road accident died on Wednesday. Ayyaluri Subhan Ali, 55, Sarpanch of Yerraguntla village in Sirivella mandal, died in a road accident on Wednesday.
According to the police, Subhan Ali had travelled to Nandyal on Tuesday for personal work and was returning to his village in an auto-rickshaw. Near Govindapalle, the vehicle collided with another auto-rickshaw coming from the opposite direction, leaving him critically injured.
Family members rushed him to a private hospital in Nandyal town, where he succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning. Sirivella police registered a case and launched an investigation.
