AP Reports 10 New Covid-19 Cases; Tally Rises To 49

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh reported 10 fresh Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 49.
According to a statement issued by the health department, the new cases include three in Guntur district, two in NTR district and one each in Alluri Sitarama Raju, Eluru, Krishna, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam districts.
The department said East Godavari has reported the highest number of cases at 11, followed by Guntur (9), YSR Kadapa (8), Visakhapatnam (5), NTR (3), Kakinada (2), Eluru (2), Bapatla (2) and one case each in a few other districts.
Of the total cases, 24 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals, while the remaining are in home isolation under medical supervision. Five patients have been discharged after recovery.
