AP Releases ₹2,694 Crore for Pensions to 61.92 Lakh Beneficiaries

Vijayawada:The Andhra Pradesh government has released Rs 2,693.90 crore for disbursement of social security pensions under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme to 61,92,396 beneficiaries from September 1, the government said on Sunday.

Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kondapalli Srinivas said the government had also released ₹2.51 crore for disbursement of pensions to 6,268 newly sanctioned beneficiaries under the spouse pension category.

He said the State government had so far released ₹73,506 crore under the NTR Bharosa Pension Scheme and was disbursing pensions on the first of every month.
