AP Ratifies Bill Discounting Pact For Hospitals
The decision follows a meeting held on April 6 between the Health and Finance secretaries and representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Speciality Hospitals Association (APSHA).

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has ratified a tripartite agreement between the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust, Andhra Pradesh Project and Financial Services Corporation Ltd. (APPFCL) and network hospitals to introduce a Bill Discounting System for faster settlement of pending hospital claims.
Health principal secretary S. Suresh Kumar issued GO Rt. No. 601 on Thursday, formalising the agreement. Under the arrangement, APPFCL will facilitate bill discounting, while the applicable interest will be borne by the respective private network hospitals.
The decision follows a meeting held on April 6 between the Health and Finance secretaries and representatives of the Andhra Pradesh Speciality Hospitals Association (APSHA).
Officials said the NTR Vaidya Seva Trust processes monthly claims of about Rs 150 crore to Rs 170 crore, with Artificial Intelligence to be used for faster scrutiny and settlement of claims.
Earlier, the association had sought release of Rs 420 crore towards claims for April and May 2026 and expressed its willingness to opt for the Bill Discounting System for settlement of an additional Rs 1,000 crore in pending claims.
