Hyderabad: A video of Andhra Pradesh police beating three persons in public after being arrested for attacking a constable went viral on social media platforms on Tuesday.
The police first made the trio sit on the main road and later started beating them on their feet using a lathi. Even though the trio writhed in pain, the police continued to beat them. Such was the treatment given to them that the trio struggled to walk.
The police claimed that the arrested persons deserved the punishment because of the offence they had committed. Responding to the AP police action, a few netizens appreciated the police, while others questioned their powers.
