AP-NGGO Seek 16% HRA for Staff in New District Centres

A delegation led by the association’s state president Vidyasagar urged the government to extend 16 per cent HRA to employees working in the newly created district headquarters of Markapuram, Rampachodavaram and Polavaram.

Vijayawada:Leaders of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association on Wednesday met chief secretary Sai Prasad and submitted representations on issues of government employees and teachers.

A delegation led by the association’s state president Vidyasagar urged the government to extend 16 per cent HRA to employees working in the newly created district headquarters of Markapuram, Rampachodavaram and Polavaram.

The employee leaders stated that the staff working in previously established district headquarters were already receiving 16 per cent HRA, and sought similar benefits for employees and teachers serving in the newly formed district centres.

The CS assured the delegation that the government would do the needful. He stressed that the government was adopting a constructive and employee-friendly approach on issues concerning staff welfare.
