New Delhi: The Supreme Court dismissed the bail petition of Raj Kasireddy, finding no merit in the appeal. The court directed him to approach the relevant lower court for regular bail, as he remains in judicial custody. Upendra Reddy, Kasireddy’s father, had filed the petition, arguing that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) lacked authority to arrest Kasireddy in another state and that proper procedure was not followed in connection with an alleged liquor scam. The court, which heard the petitions and reserved its judgment on May 19, 2025, clarified that Kasireddy, also known as Rajashekhar Reddy, may apply for regular bail, and any pending bail applications should be decided in accordance with the law.
