AP JAC Thanks CM Naidu for App-Based Pension and GPF Services
Employees thank CM Naidu; unions seek smoother settlements and timely salary credit

Vijayawada: The AP Joint Action Committee (JAC), Amaravati, has thanked Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the government’s decision to develop a dedicated app on the Nidhi portal to provide online pension benefits and GPF services in collaboration with the Accountant General of India.
The JAC said the move would largely ease access to PPO downloads, GPF loans and partial or full withdrawals through a single online platform.
A review meeting was held on Friday at the secretariat with finance secretary Vinay Chand and joint secretary Alladi Gautam interacting with joint staff council members to gather suggestions from employee associations on relaxing the existing rules and simplifying pension and GPF settlements.
AP JAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu welcomed the government’s quick response in addressing the concerns of lakhs of employees and pensioners. He said the digital initiative reflected an employee-friendly governance approach.
He said detailed written suggestions from major unions on the proposed online system would soon be submitted to the government.
Venkateswarlu urged the government to ensure that pensions and salaries are credited without fail on the first of every month. He noted that delays this month had caused hardship. He also sought a meeting with employee unions on the recent MoU the government signed with major banks for salary disbursement. A lack of clarity has created anxiety among the staff, he said.
The JAC also appealed to the government to prioritise the pending bills, especially those of the deceased employees, retirees, and the medical reimbursement claims. It also suggested that the Nidhi app include a feature showing all dues payable to employees, for the purpose of transparency.
AP JAC leaders Palisetti Damodara Rao, TV Phaniperraju, Srinivasa Rao, Malleswar Rao, GV Narasayya and Ravi Prasad participated in the talks.
