AP JAC Amaravati Stages Protest Over Employees' Demands
Delays in financial benefits were affecting employees’ families: Speakers
NELLORE: Officers and employees of the animal husbandry department staged a black-badge protest at the Nellore Veterinary Polyclinic on Thursday, demanding action on pending employee issues following a call by the AP JAC Amaravati state committee.
The protesters sought the immediate constitution and implementation of the 12th Pay Revision Commission, sanction of Interim Relief (IR), and release of five pending Dearness Allowances (DAs) and arrears.
Other demands included granting notional and Automatic Advancement Scheme (AAS) increments to village/ward secretariat employees, restoration of the additional quantum of pension at 10 and 15 per cent, regularisation of contract staff and an HR policy ensuring job security and welfare benefits for outsourced employees.
They also demanded clearance of pending PRC, DA, EL, GPF, APGLI and medical reimbursement dues, besides effective implementation of the Employees Health Scheme.
AP JAC Amaravati district leaders Allampati Penchala Reddy, O.V. Prasad, Dr Jana Chaitanya Kishore and K. Balakotamma, along with animal husbandry officials participated in the protest.
Speakers said delays in financial benefits were affecting employees’ families, including healthcare and children’s education, and urged the government to resolve the issues through dialogue.
