AP High Court Orders AI-Driven Reforms in TTD Parakamani Process
Court directs TTD to minimise human intervention, adopt advanced technology in hundi counting, and submit reform draft within eight weeks

Andhra Pradesh High Court
In the wake of the conundrum surrounding the Parakamani case, the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday issued a slew of key directions to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The court ordered the TTD to minimise human intervention in the counting process and to adopt artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art technology to enhance transparency and accuracy.
The High Court observed that immediate and permanent measures must be implemented to curb theft, suggesting that the reforms could be carried out in two phases. It also directed the TTD to furnish detailed information on the security arrangements in place during the counting, transportation and sealing of the hundis.
Further, the court said that AI could be effectively used for segregating foreign currency and categorising donations. It directed the TTD to submit a comprehensive draft outlining the proposed reforms within eight weeks.
