AP Government Fulfilling Poll Promises, Assures Keshav
Minister highlights infrastructure, irrigation and industrial push in Uravakonda

Kadapa: Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav on Sunday asserted that the coalition government is steadily implementing the promises made during elections while balancing development and welfare. Addressing the ‘Rendella Nammakam – Abhivrudhi, Sankshema’ meeting held near Budigumma in the Uravakonda constituency, he said industries are the backbone of the state’s growth and key to generating employment for youth.
The minister said the government is focusing on strengthening basic infrastructure such as roads, drinking water and power supply in Uravakonda. He noted that repairs to the Tungabhadra dam gates were completed within three months, ensuring improved irrigation support. Despite financial constraints, the government is not stepping back from fulfilling its commitments, he said.
Keshav announced that works on the Budigumma bridge are being taken up at a cost of Rs 90 crore, which will significantly improve connectivity between Kuderu and Beluguppa mandals. He reiterated that the government’s goal is to provide irrigation water to every acre and every farmer in the constituency. Projects under Handri-Neeva and Peddakotthapalli lift irrigation schemes are being implemented to provide a permanent solution to water scarcity, while additional projects are underway to supply water to 12 tanks.
He further said the government is promoting industrial growth to create local employment opportunities. Under the Centre’s RDSS scheme, old power infrastructure is being upgraded to modern systems. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh is moving steadily towards rapid development, with key projects like Polavaram and Amaravati laying a strong foundation for the future.
