AP Government Fixes Cocoa Nut Rate at Rs.500 per Kg
Agriculture minister K. Atchannaidu said a Standardisation Fund had been created with Rs.140 crores 10 months ago, of which Rs,80 crore have been spent.

Kakinada: Agriculture minister K. Atchannaidu announced that the NDA alliance government has made arrangements for purchase cocoa nuts at a cost of Rs.500 per kg, thereby helping farmers.
Atchannaidu, along with Housing minister Kolusu Pardha Saradhi, told reporters at Eluru on Friday that cocoa companies will purchase the nuts at ₹450 per kg while the remaining ₹50 will be extended by the state government.
The Agriculture minister said a Standardisation Fund had been created with ₹140 crores 10 months ago, of which ₹80 crore have been spent.
The minister said to help the mango farmers, the government appointed a cabinet sub-committee to resolve all the issues. In this regard, he said the government has already sorted out the problems of mirchi, tobacco and other farmers.
