AP Extends Liquor Sale Hours For New Year Celebrations

As per the orders, liquor retail shops will be allowed to sell liquor up to 12 midnight, while bars will be permitted to serve liquor up to 1 am

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has permitted the extension of liquor sale and service hours by an hour across the state on December 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026, in view of New Year celebrations.

As per the orders, liquor retail shops will be allowed to sell liquor up to 12 midnight, while bars will be permitted to serve liquor up to 1 am.

Revenue (excise) department principal secretary Peeyush Kumar issued a memo stating that the state government has allowed A4 liquor shops to operate until 12 am on December 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026.

Further, bars holding 2B licences, along with establishments having C1 (in-house) licences, EP1 (event permit) licences and TD1 (in-house) licences of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, have been permitted to serve liquor until 1 am on January 1, 2026.
