AP Extends Bar Licence Application Deadline To August 29
Intimation of selection will also be issued on the same day.
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Government has extended the deadline for submission of applications under the new bar policy 2025–28.
As per the revised schedule, the last date and time for filing applications has been extended up to 6 p.m. on August 29, 2025, while the draw of lots will be held at 8 a.m. on August 30, 2025. Intimation of selection will also be issued on the same day.
Earlier, the Government had fixed 5 p.m. on August 26, 2025, as the last date for filing applications and August 28, 2025, for the draw of lots. However, in view of practical difficulties such as heavy rains and floods in several districts, the intervening bank holiday on August 23, and the ongoing preparatory arrangements for Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations, the authorities decided to provide additional time to prospective applicants, particularly newcomers aspiring to enter the liquor business.
