Andhra Pradesh is experiencing a significant rise in temperatures across most districts, with meteorologists predicting no rainfall for the north coastal and south coastal regions in the coming days.

Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh is experiencing a significant rise in temperatures across most districts, with meteorologists predicting no rainfall for the north coastal and south coastal regions in the coming days.
According to the latest weather prediction from the IMD, maximum temperatures are currently hovering 2°Celsius to 4°Celsius above normal across the state. On Wednesday, several districts notably recorded high temperatures.
The weather department has issued a five-day forecast warning of continued high temperatures. For the first two days, shallow fog is likely to occur at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP), Yanam and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP).
Maximum temperatures are expected to remain at 2°C to 4°C above normal in these regions while Rayalaseema will experience temperatures 2°C to 3°C above normal.
The forecast for days three through five indicates no respite, with temperatures continuing to remain elevated by 2°C to 3°C across all regions of the state.
On Wednesday, temperatures across major cities reached concerning levels. Nandyal and Kurnool recorded the highest temperatures at 36°C, while several other cities experienced temperatures well above 33°C. Vishakhapatnam registered 32.3°C, Kakinada 32.8°C, Narsapur 34.8°C and Machilipatnam 34°C. Nandigam saw mercury levels rise to 35.3°C while Gannavaram recorded 33.2°C. The state capital Amaravati reached 34.4°C with Ongole at 33.1°C and Nellore at 33.6°C. In the southern districts, Kadapa reported 33°C, Anantapur 35°C and Tirupati recorded 33.9°C.
