AP sets up control room in Delhi to assist residents amid India-Pakistan border tensions

Vijayawada: In light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to establish a control room in New Delhi to ensure the safety and support of residents travelling to the border regions.
The special facility has been set up at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan there to assist those from Andhra Pradesh who are located in or travelling to states that share the borders with Pakistan. "The establishment of this control room is to provide assistance to the people of Andhra Pradesh who may find themselves in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat," he stated.
The CM emphasized the importance of constant availability for residents, who need information and assistance during these uncertain times.
The control room will operate 24/7, allowing residents in these critical areas to reach out for support and guidance whenever necessary. Naidu urged individuals to make use of this facility to ensure their safety and well-being while on travel.
In an official statement, the Resident Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh Bhavan said the state government is closely monitoring the evolving situation in coordination with the central government and respective state authorities.

Education minister Nara Lokesh said the government would safely bring back Andhra students from the North. He was responding to a plea from MP Byreddy Shabari, who wrote a letter to the minister. Lokesh responded, “Amid Pakistan’s provocations, the coalition govt is taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of students from Andhra Pradesh stranded in Jammu & Kashmir. MP ByreddyShabari has written to the resident commissioner Lav Agarwal, urging coordination with the central agencies. I assure all parents that the situation is being closely monitored and full assistance is being extended,” he said.
