AP: Dy CM Condemns Amarnath's Remarks Against Anitha
Responding to the remarks, minister Anitha said the YSRC leaders are not able to digest the growth of a Dalit woman leader and hence, making such cheap comments
Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan condemned YSCR leader and former minister Gudivada Amarnath's comments against Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha. The YSRC leaders are known for their derogatory remarks against the TD leaders. Former IT minister Amarnath called Anitha as 'Makeup Minister'. Further, he said that she wears kilos of makeup.
Responding to the remarks, minister Anitha said the YSRC leaders are not able to digest the growth of a Dalit woman leader and hence, making such cheap comments.
Pawan Kalyan said that the YSRC leaders have deteriorated to abysmal levels and this is evident in Amarnath's remarks on a woman's attire. His remarks are not confined to Anitha but mean that every woman is insulted.
The Deputy CM suggested that men should be careful while speaking about women. People in public life should be cautious about their words, because the entire society would be watching them.
Pawan said that it is common to criticize in politics. There will be counter-criticism too but the remarks should be confined to policies alone but not target individuals, he said.
He suggested that the leaders of TD and allied parties should hit back the insulting and derogatory remarks against women. The YSRC leaders have an insulting mindset and are used to disrespect women in their houses.
At the same time, Pawan Kalyan said that the TD and coalition parties' leaders should be careful to use respectable language while hitting back at Amarnath's remarks.
