AP-DTI and Industry Leaders Convene Fusion AI Summit in Vizag

The event aims to position the state as a leader in India's AI revolution

Visakhapatnam: The two-day Fusion AI Summit 2025 commenced here on Friday under the aegis of the state Digital Technology and Innovation (APDTI) Network and industry stakeholders

The event aims to position the state as a leader in India's AI revolution.

MSME minister Kondapalli Srinivas who inaugurated the event stressed the government's commitment to establish an "AI-first economy." He explained how artificial intelligence can enhance productivity, foster innovation and improve service delivery across various sectors, especially in governance, manufacturing and citizen welfare.

In his keynote address, Vishal Dhupar, MD of NVIDIA South Asia, introduced the "1-2-3 Laws of AI Adoption" framework and elaborated on the role of AI factories in facilitating large-scale transformation. He noted that Visakhapatnam has the necessary infrastructure, talent and ecosystem to become a key player in India's AI landscape.

Speakers included Ravi Vemuru, president of the APNRT society; Suresh Batha, additional director of the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI); and Sreedhar Kosaraju, chairman of the APDTI network.

Batha announced that over 100 startups have been incubated under state-supported programmes, with AI-driven interventions resulting in a 75 per cent increase in public service efficiency. Ravi Vemuru highlighted the transformative potential of hyper-personalised AI applications across various sectors, particularly in empowering the state's workforce.

Sreedhar Kosaraju stressed that Andhra Pradesh's dynamic talent pool and robust innovation ecosystem provided a fertile ground for AI-driven growth.

Day 1 of the summit saw participation of over 1,100 delegates, including corporate leaders, government officials, researchers, entrepreneurs and students.

Panel discussions covered several emerging topics: ‘Agentic AI’ examined autonomous systems and the future of work; ‘Generative AI for Enterprises’ focused on the applications of Indic language models in banking, healthcare, and logistics; and ‘Physical AI’ showcased use cases in smart manufacturing and robotics.

Experts from Oracle and Accenture also led sessions on Edge-Cloud Synergy, highlighting the essential infrastructure needed to scale AI across distributed environments.
