AP Constitutes Committee to Inquire Fireworks Unit Blast at Vetlapalem
The committee shall submit its report to the government within one month.

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has constituted a committee to take up an inquiry into the explosion at M/s Surya Sri Fire Works at Vetlapalem in Kakinada district.
Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad issued GO RT No. 500 here on Tuesday, stating that the government has taken a serious view of the explosion and the tragic loss of human lives and has decided to constitute a committee to inquire into the matter.
The committee comprises chairperson as S. Suresh Kumar, principal secretary, municipal administration and urban development and member as Ake Ravi Krishna, IG of police, Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement (EAGLE).
The terms of reference of the committee are to ascertain the causes that resulted in the explosion at M/s Surya Sri Fire Works at Vetlapalem; to identify the persons and authorities responsible for the incident and to review the action taken on the earlier recommendations of the Committee constituted on 09-10-2025 and to suggest further corrective measures.
The committee shall submit its report to the government within one month.
