AP CM Expresses Anguish Over Death of 4 Students in Srikakulam Train Accident
The Chief Minister directed authorities to ensure Salmon Raj receives better medical care and instructed officials to support and assist the affected families.
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep anguish over the deaths of four students who were killed after being hit by a train near Tekkali in Srikakulam district. The deceased were identified as Vishakarao, Dilip Kumar, Shiva, and Sharath Kumar.
Calling the incident tragic, the Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Naidu sought details of the accident from officials, who explained that the mishap occurred because the students failed to notice the approaching train. Officials also informed the CM that another student, Salmon Raj, was injured in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at Tekkali District Hospital (DH).

As per reports, four youths were killed, and another was injured after they were struck by the Rajadhani Express near Burma Colony on the outskirts of Tekkali when they were crossing the railway track and the speeding train hit them. They were reportedly going to attend to nature’s call at the time of the incident.
