AP CM at Naravaripalle for Sankranti Festivities, Launch of Projects

On Tuesday morning, Naidu would attend the Sankranti celebrations at the TTD Kalyana Mandapam in the village.

Tirupati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu arrived at his native village Naravaripalle on Monday evening to take part in the Sankranti celebrations.

Continuing his annual tradition of celebrating the festival in his hometown, Naidu would stay in the village for four days and participate in cultural, religious and development programmes along with his family members and villagers.

The CM attended a review meeting with ministers, secretaries and district collectors at the state secretariat before leaving for Naravaripalle. He was welcomed on arrival by his family members, villagers, party workers and local leaders.

Minister Nara Lokesh reached the village at night from Shirdi, while other family members had arrived much earlier.

On Tuesday morning, Naidu would attend the Sankranti celebrations at the TTD Kalyana Mandapam in the village. He and his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari would distribute prizes to winners of rangoli and sports competitions organised as part of the festivities.

Later, he would visit the Seshachala Lingeswara Swamy Temple and inaugurate a road built at a cost of `70 lakh from the A-Rangampeta–Bheemavaram road to the temple.

The CM would inaugurate several development works in Naravaripalle, including a 33/11 kV semi-indoor power substation, a skill development centre costing Rs.1.4 crore and the Sanjeevani project. In Tirupati, he would inaugurate a Patient Attendant Amenities Complex at the Ruia Government Hospital, built at a cost of Rs.45 lakh. He would also open a boys’ hostel costing Rs.7.5 crore and a girls’ hostel costing Rs.5 crore at Sri Venkateswara University.

Naidu would lay the foundation for a Rs.126-crore water supply project to bring water from the Neeva Branch Canal to the Kalyani Dam, Moolapalli tank and four other tanks, besides a cattle shelter costing Rs.10 lakh.

At SV University, he would lay the foundation for advanced research laboratories costing Rs.6 crore, an additional academic building floor costing Rs.5.03 crore and a compound wall for Rs.2.91 crore.

On Wednesday, the CM would take part in Bhogi bonfire celebrations. On Thursday, he would visit the village deity Gangamma temple and the family deity Nagalamma’s temple, and participate in rituals held in memory of his parents, Kharjura Naidu and Ammannamma, and his brother Ramamurthy Naidu.

The Chief Minister would also pay tributes at the statues of NT Rama Rao and Basavatarakam near his residence before returning to Amaravati on Thursday evening.
