AP: CEO Releases District-Wise Deletion List Under SIR

The authorities have also found logical errors or discrepancies in the details of around 36 lakh electors

VIJAYAWADA: The Chief Electoral Officer’s office has released a district-wise list of 44.89 lakh electors proposed for deletion from the draft electoral rolls due to death, permanent shifting or duplication as part of the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Andhra Pradesh.

Of the 4.16 crore electors, 3.71 crore have submitted their Enumeration Forms, according to the election authorities.

The deletions include Nellore (2.90 lakh), Tirupati (2.87 lakh), Kurnool (2.73 lakh), Anantapur (2.48 lakh), YSR Kadapa (2.44 lakh), Visakhapatnam (2.40 lakh), Guntur (2.37 lakh), Kakinada (1.95 lakh), Palnadu (1.91 lakh), East Godavari (1.81 lakh), Nandyal (1.79 lakh), Srikakulam (1.72 lakh), Sri Sathya Sai (1.70 lakh), Annamayya (1.48 lakh), Krishna (1.37 lakh), Chittoor (1.36 lakh), Vizianagaram (1.27 lakh), Prakasam (1.27 lakh), NTR (1.23 lakh), Bapatla (1.10 lakh), Anakapalli (1.09 lakh), Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema (1.03 lakh), Eluru (1.02 lakh), Markapuram (85,800), West Godavari (85,444), Parvathipuram Manyam (75,119), Alluri Sitarama Raju (63,258) and Polavaram (38,927).

Meanwhile, election authorities have targeted 44.21 lakh electors for generation of notices. Notices have been generated for 43.66 lakh electors, while 54,935 are yet to be generated.

The authorities have also found logical errors or discrepancies in the details of around 36 lakh electors. These include nine types of errors, such as mismatches in names, including the elector's name and father's name, and age mismatches involving siblings and grandparents.
