AP Cartoonists Association Formed in Vijayawada

Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly K. Raghurama Krishnam Raju unveiled the association’s logo and assured government support

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Cartoonists Association, Amaravati, was formally constituted on Sunday at Balotsav Bhavan in Vijayawada, with cartoonists from across the state coming together to form a common platform. The meeting was chaired by noted cartoonist Bachi.

Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly K. Raghurama Krishnam Raju unveiled the association’s logo and assured government support. He recalled his close association with legendary cartoonist Bapu and highlighted the role of cartoons in effectively conveying powerful social messages.

Former Andhra Pradesh High Court judge Justice A.V. Sesha Sai said cartoons evoke strong public interest and appeal to people of all age groups.

Association president Bachi appealed for government support and stressed the need to encourage youth to take up cartooning as a profession.
