AP Calls for Rs 221.67 Crore Tenders to Build Hospitals, Medical Colleges
Projects include AYUSH hospitals, medical colleges and expansion of a community health centre

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government has issued tenders for 12 works involving construction of buildings in the state to accommodate hospitals and medical colleges at an estimated cost of Rs 221.67 crore.
Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav said here on Friday that of the 12 works, 10 are for AYUSH and two for allopathic medicine.
He explained that under the National Ayush Mission, six integrated ayush hospitals with 50 beds each are to be constructed at Tekkali in Srikakulam district at a cost of Rs 9.98 crore, Rampachodavaram in Polavaram district for Rs 10.57 crore, Nandigama in NTR district for Rs 10.52 crore, Tenali in Guntur district for Rs 10.50 crore, and in Tirupati district for Rs 9.99 crore.
Similarly, construction of a building for a government Unani medical college will be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 49 crore at Proddatur in Kadapa district. Another building for a government ayurveda medical college would come up at Dharmavaram in Sri Sathya Sai district at a cost of Rs 49 crore.
In addition, there will be additional buildings for enhancing the 50-bed community health centre at Chintur to 100 beds with an allocation of Rs 21.99 crore.
The Health minister said AP Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation has started calling tenders through e-procurement mode.
