AP Cabinet Gives Nod To 80 Crucial Decisions

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has given consent to several crucial decisions on Tuesday. The Cabinet meeting, headed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, has given green signal to more than 80 proposals listed on the agenda, relating to establishing industries, IT firms, tourism, capital development, data centres, renewable energy sector.
The Cabinet has given nod to establishment of firms at an estimated cost of Rs 34,000 crore, cleared by the Investments Promotion Council, which would generate around 35,000 jobs. The Cabinet has given approval to infrastructure projects worth Rs 426 crore, AP Judicial Academy to be taken up at a cost of Rs 139 crore and other projects.
The state government's initiative to provide incentives to projects including establishing five-star hotels, convention centres in Amaravati and tourism projects in Visakha, Kurnool, Annavaram and Tirupati were also approved by the Cabinet.
The Cabinet also gave nod to relaxation of retirement age to 62 years from 60 years to employees in public sector units, corporations and societies. Allocation of land to solar and wind power units at Anantapur and Kadapa districts, special incentives to biogas plants were also approved.
Green signal was given for the sanction of around 95 temporary posts including tahsildars and deputy collectors for CRDA to overlook land pooling for the Amaravati-I and Amaravati-II works.
